The new technical rule for hazardous substances TRGS 741 is a revision of the DGUV 13 regulation and applies to activities involving organic peroxides in accordance with the Hazardous Substances Ordinance.

It regulates the scope of application, definitions, information determination, risk assessment, protective measures and specific aspects such as protective and safety distances, test methods for assigning liquid and solid organic peroxides to hazard groups as well as firefighting. New regulations on protective and safety distances must be applied no later than five years after publication of this TRGS, unless the risk assessment requires earlier application.
