New regulations for measuring environmental expenditure

On 12th March 2024, the Statistics (Environmental Expenditure) Survey Order 2024 entered into force.

The new regulations set out requirements for businesses to complete a survey reporting their environmental protection expenditure. The survey applies to the majority industry sectors, with the full list being set out in Annex I of EU Regulation (EC) No. 1893/2006.
