HSE annual work-related ill health and injury statistics 2022/23

In 2022/23, Great Britain recorded 135 fatal workplace accidents, high levels of work-related ill health (notably stress, musculoskeletal disorders and lung disease), 35.2 million lost working days, with the health/social work sector most affected by ill health, agriculture by injuries, yet the UK maintaining one of the lowest fatal injury rates in Europe.
