UK: Guidance on environmental permits –

Occupational_Safety
On 8th of May 2018, the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs and Environment Agency have published the updated version of the Guidance ‘’How you’ll be regulated: environmental permits’’. The Guidance explains Compliance Assessment Reports, assessments, inspections and permit reviews, and what the Environment Agency will do if a facility does not follow the rules. A facility must follow all the conditions of its permit. The Environment Agency will check if a site is complying with its permit and if is continuing to be a competent operator. The Agency can revoke a permit if decides that the facility is not a suitable operator. If the facility applies to transfer a waste, mining waste or installations permit to another person, the Environment Agency can reject the application if they decide the person is not a competent operator.
