The regulations are the Noise Emission in the Environment by Equipment for use Outdoors (Amendment) Regulations 2015 and come into force on the 1st April 2015.

Regulation to amend which govern the emission of noise

The Noise Emission are to amend the current regulations which govern the emission of noise by use of equipment outdoors which are the Noise Emission in the Environment by Equipment for use Outdoors Regulations 2001.

Requirement to provide a declaration of conformity

The amendments are to the provision of data and enforcement of these regulations. In particular the requirement to provide a declaration of conformity to the Secretary of State and to the European Commission has been amended. In addition the Secretary of State is now able to designate any person to act on his behalf in carrying out the enforcement duty. For more details please refer to the legislation directly.
