OSHA extends the enforcement dates for the minimum approach distances in its general industry and construction standards
On January 20, 2016, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) extended the enforcement date for some of its minimum approach distances in its general industry and construction standards for work on electric power generation, transmission, and distribution installations.

Safety and Health Program Management
On February 1, 2016 the Occupational Safety and Health Administration extended the public comment period for its voluntary Safety and Health Program Management from February 15, 2016 through February 22, 2016.

Guidance on Data Evaluation for Weight of Evidence Determination
OSHA has issued a new guidance on determining potential health hazards of chemicals.
On February 16, OSHA will begin accepting comments on its Guidance on Data Evaluation for Weight of Evidence Determination which is intended to help employers consider all available information when classifying hazardous chemicals.
Workers and employers should be given complete and accurate information about the hazards associated with exposure to the chemicals in their work environment.

OSHA reschedules its public hearing on its proposed beryllium rule
On February 16, 2016 the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) postponed its informal public hearing on its proposed occupational exposure to beryllium and beryllium compounds. The proposed beryllium rule will significantly reduce OSHA’s existing exposure limits for beryllium and beryllium compounds and introduce additional workplace protections.
The hearing, originally scheduled for February 29, 2016, has been rescheduled for March 21, 2016.
