[DE] Amendments to the Decree regulating the use of dangerous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (ElektroStoffV)

On 4 December 2014 an amending order dated 28 November 2014 regarding the Decree on the use of dangerous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (Elektro- und Elektronikgeräte-Stoff-Verordnung – ElektroStoffV) of 19 April 2013 was published in the Federal Gazette ‘Bundesgesetzblatt’ part I number 55/2014.
The modifications aim to transpose 8 delegated EU-Directives (2014/69/EU through 2014/76/EU), modifying Annexes III and IV of the RoHS Directive (Directive 2011/65/EU of 8 June 2011 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment). These amendments need to be transposed into German Law by the end of 2014.
Modifications concern :
§3 paragraph 3 ElektroStoffV, defining legal exceptions for certain purposes of use with regard torequirements § 3 sets for putting electrical and electronic equipment on the market.
