US: OSHA Finalizes Multiple Rule Changes Via Standards Improvement Project Phase IV –

Regulation
In the May 14, 2019 Federal Register, OSHA announced that it had finalized multiple rule changes as part of Phase IV of its Standards Improvement Project. According to OSHA, these changes were implemented in response to Executive Orders 13563 and 13777 that required OSHA to remove or revise outdated, duplicative, unnecessary, and inconsistent requirements. The changes generally modify and remove a wide range of references throughout multiple standards including 29 CFR 1904, sections of subpart Z, industrial hygiene and medical surveillance guidelines, and a number of construction standards in 29 CFR 1926. These changes become effective on July 15, 2019. Source: OSHA Finalizes Multiple Rule Changes Via Standards Improvement Project Phase IV, 84 FR 21416, May 14, 2019.
