Ireland | COVID-19 | Ireland declared to be affected area and introduced temporary restrictions

By Irish legislations Health Act 1947 (Affected Areas) Order 2020 and  Health Act 1947 (Section 31A -Temporary Restrictions) (Covid-19) Regulations 2020, both published on 10th April 2020. The state is declared an area where there is sustained human transmission of Covid-19 and introduced the restriction of persons from their place of residence. S.I. No. 121/2020 – Health Act 1947 (Section 31A -Temporary Restrictions) (Covid-19) Regulations 2020 set out to restrict movement of persons from their place of residence, except where they have reasonable excuse, and for restrictions on events, for the purpose of preventing, limiting, minimising or slowing the spread of Covid-19. The restriction applies to movements of persons (unless with reasonable excuses as listed in the regulations), events.
