COVID-19: PPE exportation temporarily restricted

Exportation
The current outbreak caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 has increased the demand for certain personal protective equipment (PPE) as mouth-nose-protection equipment, raising the pressure in the European Union market and the existing stocks. In order to ensure the supply within the EU and to provide the necessary assistance to third countries, the European Commission has published on 14 March 2020 the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/402. From 15 March 2020 and for six weeks, exports outside the Union of PPE listed in the Annex I of this Regulation must be authorised by the competent authorities of the Member States.
