Arizona: The Industrial Commission proposes adopting recent federal OSHA rule changes
In the September 16, 2016 issue of the Arizona Administrative Register, the Industrial Commission issued proposed rules which would incorporate recent federal OSHA rule updates. The changes that the Industrial Commission intends to incorporate are the revisions to the eye and face protection and respirable crystalline silica rules. The Industrial Commission also intends to adopt OSHA’s recent final rule requiring the electronic submission of injury and illness information for certain employers. The revisions to the eye and face protection standard update the references to more recent additions of the ANSI standards for eye and face personal protective equipment.
