Washington: Department of Labor and Industries Proposes Electronic Submission of Form 300A and Other Changes to Recordkeeping and Reporting Regulations

On April 30, 2019 the Washington Department of Labor and Industries announced that it was proposing multiple modifications to the state’s OSHA Recordkeeping and Reporting regulations found in WAC 296-27. The major change being proposed to WAC 296-27-03101 will require the annual electronic submission of OSHA Form 300A for establishments with 250 or more employees or designated establishments 20 or more, but fewer than 250 employees. Form 300A is essentially an employer’s summary of work related injuries and deaths at its establishment from the previous year. A hearing associated with this proposal will be held on June 4, 2019 and comments were required to be submitted by May 21, 2019.
