It’s a fact: people who live, work, and play in America’s most polluted environments are most often people of color and the poor. From sanitation and toxic waste to emissions and water quality, industry must begin addressing the public health dangers confronting affected communities.
Although protests began in the early 1960s, the environmental justice (EJ) movement is now fully in the spotlight, putting enormous pressure on government and industry to right these historic wrongs.
We already know that the Biden administration has begun addressing environmental issues on many fronts. And clients tell us that the EPA has increased inspections and raised fines for non-compliance.
