The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 came into force on 6 April 2015. ‘A short guide for clients on the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015‘, publication INDG411, is now available from HSE in addition to the longer L153 guidance.

Sharing of simple steps to meet the regulatory requirements imposed by Construction Regulations 2015

The new INDG411 leaflet is designed to be used by building owners, users or managing agents who are having maintenance, small-scale building work or other minor works carried out in connection with a business.

• It sets out the legal obligations imposed by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 on clients of construction work to ensure the safety of the project. The leaflet gives simple steps to follow in order to meet the imposed duties and directs the reader to other resources for more detail.

• Guidance L153 on the 2015 Regulations was published on the HSE website in April. This longer guidance gives further details on the law and the responsibilities of the dutyholder.
