EFRAG: Educational videos on Sustainability Reporting Standards for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and public consultation on the draft XBRL Taxonomy for ESRS Set 1

On 20th February 2024, the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) published educational videos on the 2 exposure drafts on European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) for SMEs, which are open to public consultation until 21 May 2024. The videos cover information about the ESRS LSME ED ad VSME ED.

Draft XBRL Taxonomy for ESRS Set 1
On 8th of February 2024, EFRAG launched the public consultation for the Draft XBRL Taxonomy for ESRS Set 1 and Draft XBRL Taxonomy for Article 8. The digital taxonomies enable the marking up (‘tagging’) of sustainability reporting in machine-readable XBRL format. The consultation period is open until 8th of April 2024. Interested parties are encouraged to provide feedback and comments by using the online questionnaires rather than comment letters.

The taxonomy released by EFRAG following this consultation represents the correct digital transposition of the human readable ESRS Set 1 in EFRAG’s opinion. The European Securities and Market Authority (ESMA) will draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) for tagging the ESRS sustainability statement based on the draft provided by EFRAG.
