In a press release of 16 April 2020, the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) informs about the presentation of the occupational health and safety standard SARS-CoV-2, which formulates concrete requirements for occupational health and safety in times of the corona crisis. COVID19: Allgemeinverfügung zur Herstellung von Händedesinfektionsmitteln wird neugefasst COVID19: General Ruling on the production of hand disinfectants is revised

In a notification of 15 April 2020, the REACH-CLP Biocide helpdesk of the BAuA (helpdesk) informs about the new exemption for the production and distribution of hand disinfectants of 09 April 2020, which also replaces the two general rulings of 04 and 20 March 2020. Hand disinfectants with 1-propanol may only be sold to professional users, those with the active substances ethanol, 2-propanol may also be sold to consumers.
