In the January 23, 2015 Maryland Register, the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) proposed amendments to its hazardous waste regulations, contained in COMAR 26.13.01 and 26.13.10. The amendments would incorporate changes to the federal hazardous waste regulations and require those receiving universal wastes to notify the MDE if the amount of universal waste exceeds 500 kilograms.
