OSHA issues new guidance on determining potential health hazards of chemicals.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is releasing new guidance on the application of the Weight of Evidence approach to dealing with complex scientific studies.
The Weight of Evidence approach helps manufacturers, importers, and employers evaluate studies on the potential health hazards of chemicals and determine the information that must be disclosed on the label and safety data sheets required under the Hazard Communication Standard.
Public comments on the weight of evidence guidance will be accepted through March 31, 2016.
