Reminder on occupational Health & Safety directives

As a reminder, the answer of the European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion to a parliamentary question concerning the issue of healthcare professionals’ exposure to hazardous drugs and chemicals was published in the OJEU C 346 of 2 October 2014. The Commissioner pointed out that a detailed evaluation of the practical implementation of 24 occupational safety and health Directives in the Member States is currently carried out by the European Commission (EC). The EC will then decide if any further legislative initiatives on health and safety are necessary, based on the findings of the evaluation which will be made available by the end of 2015.
