The ‘Water Stewardship in Food Supply Chains Project’, a project to help businesses improve water management, will receive £150,000 in government funding.
The Project forms part of the Business in the Community Water Taskforce, which was set up to bring together government, water companies, businesses and key stakeholders in order to help businesses better identify and manage their own water issues.
With the funding, the Taskforce aims to create a network of businesses to share expertise and encourage action on environmental issues including pollution, water supplies and flood risk.Red-on-line EHS Legal CounselSources :News story: ‘Water industry receives £150,000 boost to improve the environment’, published on government website on 15 January 2015.
