The US EPA Updates Toxics Release Inventory Program Reporting Requirements

EPA TSCA Hazardous Chemicals
In the November 29, 2019 issue of the Federal Register, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed corrections to the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Program. The purpose of the proposed rule change is to update identifiers, formulas, and names for certain TRI-listed chemicals and to update the text that identifies the chemicals to which the .01 percent de minimis concentration applies. This action will not affect regulatory requirements of the TRI program within the Community Right-to-Know Act and is intended solely to correct inaccuracies in the regulatory text. Public comment will be accepted through January 28, 2019. Source: EPA Proposed Rule, Community Right-to-Know; Corrections to Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Reporting Requirements (Nov. 29, 2019).
