The US EPA Proposes Rule Requiring EPA to Only Use Scientific Studies that Contain Public Data

In the April 30, 2018 Federal Register the US EPA proposed a rule requiring the agency to use scientific studies that have data that is publicly available in a manner sufficient for independent validation. Comments must be received on or before May 30, 2018. The rule requires that for science that is pivotal to EPA’s significant regulatory actions, the agency must ensure that the data and models underlying the science is publicly available in a manner sufficient for validation and analysis.
