Guidance on Environmental permitting charges

On 21st March 2018, the Environment Agency has published a Guidance on Environmental permitting charges. This Guidance explains how the Environment Agency charges for activities that need an environmental permit and the charges the facility must pay. The facility will need to pay an application charge when it applies for a new permit. The application charge depends on the activity and the type of permit that facility has. It covers the work the Environment Agency carries out each time they determine a permit application. If your application is successful, the facility may also have to pay to vary, transfer or surrender its permit.
