US EPA Issues Final Rule Revising User Fees for the Electronic Hazardous Waste Manifest System

On January 3, 2018 the US EPA issued a direct final rule revising user fees for the electronic hazardous waste manifest system.
The rule change establishes a new methodology in order for EPA to determine user fees applicable to both paper manifests and the electronic manifest system. After the new methodology is implemented certain users will be required to pay a fee for each electronic and paper manifest they submit. The entities required to pay the user fees will be the receiving facilities named on manifests who experience a billable event. The rule becomes effective on June 30, 2018.
