EPA Announces Availability of Final Integrated Science Assessment for Primary (Health-Based) NAAQS for SOx

In the December 13, 2017 Federal Register, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a notice to announce the availability of the final document titled “Integrated Science Assessment for Sulfur Oxides—Health Criteria” (EPA/600/R-17/451). The Integrated Science Assessment (ISA) was prepared as part of the review of the primary (health-based) National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for sulfur oxides (SOx), which is one of the six criteria pollutants for which the EPA has established primary (health-based) and secondary (welfare-based) NAAQS under the Clean Air Act. The secondary NAAQS for NOx and Sox are still being developed as part of a separate ISA. The ISA is available at: http://www2.epa.gov/isa/integrated-science-assessment-isa-sulfur-dioxide-health-criteria . Source: Integrated Science Assessment for Sulfur Oxides-Health Criteria, 82 Fed.
