Plant protection products: non-renewal of the approval of three active substances

The Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/864 of 31 May 2016 states that the approval of the active substance triasulfuron, expiring on 30 June 2016, is not renewed.

It is the same for the active substance amitrole (Regulation No 2016/871 of 1 June 2016) and the active substance isoproturon (Regulation No 2016/872 of 1 June 2016). Therefore, Member States have to withdraw authorizations for products containing these substances by 30 September 2016.

From now on, information on the renewal or non-renewal of the approval of active substances will not be covered by an alert but by a list updated automatically summarizing the approved active substances that you find in the link below.

As a reminder, Regulation (EU) 2016/636 of 22 April 2016 withdrew the approval of the active substance Z,Z,Z,Z-7,13,16,19-docosatetraen-1-yl isobutyrate, and Regulation (EU) 2016/638 of 22 April 2016 withdrawing the authorization of the active substance Z-13-hexadecen-11-yn-1-yl acetate.
