NPDES Electronic Reporting Rule Published in the Federal Register [US]

On October 22nd, 2015, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published its finalized electronic reporting rule for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program.

Electronic reporting

The new rule requires entities regulated by the NPDES program to report facility wastewater discharge information to the EPA electronically instead of using hardcopy data.

Most facilities that are required to report their effluent monitoring must start submitting this data one year after the effective date of this rule.

The final NPDES electronic reporting rule becomes effective December 21st, 2015.
