Plant protection products: active substance “Florasulam” [EU]

Regulation (EU) 2015/1397 of 14th August 2015 renews the approval of substance “Florasulam” which was due to expire on 31st December 2015. The approval has now been extended until 31st December 2030.

The Annex to Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 of 25th May 2011 implementing Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 has been modified accordingly. Member States must, however, pay particular attention to the risk posed by the substance to aquatic organisms and non-target terrestrial plants.

As a reminder, Regulation 2015/1295 of 27 July 2015 approved the use of the active substance Sulfoxaflor in plant protection products. Regulation (EU) No 540/2011 concerning the list of approved substances was therefore amended accordingly.

The approval is subject to the condition that Member States pay particular attention to the risk posed by the substance to bees and other pollinating insects. The substance has been approved until 18th August 2025.
