It will be heard in committee between 10 March 2020 and 5 May 2020.\n\nThe Environment Bill which was introduced by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs in January 2020.\n\nThe Bill is currently devided into two main sections, one on Environmental Governance and the second on Sustainable Resource management. It looks at the broad topics of:\n<ul>\n \t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.red-on-line-ehs.co.uk\/ehs-integrated-offer\/solutions\/waste-management\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Waste<\/a> and Resource Management<\/li>\n \t<li>Air Quality<\/li>\n \t<li>Water<\/li>\n \t<li>Nature and Biodiversity<\/li>\n \t<li>Conservation Covenants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nFollowing the Withdrawal of the UK from the European Union, this bill intends to bring standards which are currently applied under EU law into the standards of UK Environmental Law.\n\nFurther it confirms the intent of the UK to continue following the REACH <a href=\"https:\/\/www.red-on-line-ehs.co.uk\/ehs-integrated-offer\/solutions\/ehs-regulatory-monitoring-and-compliance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">regulations<\/a>, while making amendments to their implementation for the UK context.\n\nThis Bill also sets up an Office for Environmental Protection which would both work on the strategic development of environmental protection\u00a0but also take part in the enforcement of environmental standards in the UK.\n\nThe bill will be further discussed in the House of Commons Public Bill Committee. A number of amendments have also already been introduced.
