These Regulations amend articles 5 and articles 13, Part B of the second schedule of the Building Regulations 1997.<br><br>The Building Regulations (Part B Amendment) Regulations 2024 updates the interpretations list in article 5 to add the definitions for care facility building, industrial building \u2013 high hazard, industrial building \u2013 normal hazard, storage building \u2013 high hazard, storage building \u2013 normal hazard. The Regulations also amend the definition for \u2018place of assembly\u2019 and removes \u2018institutional building\u2019.<br><br>Article 13 sub-article 2 of the Building Regulations 1997 list of building uses is amended where a material change of use is deemed to take place.<br><br>In Schedule 2 Part B the 2024 regulations have updated the fire safety requirements for non-dwelling houses.<br><br>The Building Regulations (Part B Amendment) Regulations 2024 shall come into operation on 1 May
