strengthen Canada\u2019s ability to meet its obligations under the Basel Convention, as well as to strengthen the implementation and improve the clarity of the Transboundary Movement of Hazardous Waste and Hazardous Recyclable Material Regulations.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">The proposed amendments concern the following topics:Management of electrical and electronic waste;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">The ban on exporting hazardous residual materials to developing countries;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Consideration of shipments without permits;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">rerouting a shipment to enable a prior operation to be carried out;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">The definition of \u201chazardous
