Here is the main information relating to the Biocides <\/a>and Plant Protection Products Regulations<\/a> published in April 2022.<\/p>\n\n

Concerning biocidal products :<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Granting of an authorization for a biocidal product<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\nBy Regulation (EU) 2022\/527 of 1 April 2022<\/a>, the Commission granted an authorization to a company for the single biocidal product<\/a> “ARIEL chlorine Professional System 5 chlorine bleach for white wash” (authorization number: EU-0026814-0000) until 31 March 2032.\n\n \n

Concerning plant protection products:<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Modification of the conditions of approval <\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\nBy Regulation (EU) 2022\/686 of 28 April 2022<\/a>, the Commission amended the Regulations (EU) 2015\/1295<\/a> and (EU) No 540\/2011<\/a> regarding the conditions for approval of the active substance “sulfoxaflor”. Thus, the columns “specific provisions” in Annex I of the Regulation (EU) 2015\/1295 and in entry No. 88 of Part B of the Regulation (EU) No. 540\/2011 are replaced by the following provisions:\n\n“Only uses in permanent greenhouses may be authorised. For the implementation of the uniform principles as referred to in Article 29(6) of Regulation (EC) No 1107\/2009, the conclusions of the review report on sulfoxaflor, and in particular Appendices I and II thereof, as finalised in the Standing Committee on Plants, Animals, Food and Feed on 29 May 2015 and updated on 28 January 2022, shall be taken into account. In this overall assessment, Member States shall pay particular attention to the risk to bees and bumble bees released for pollination, when products containing the substance are applied in greenhouses. Conditions of use shall include risk mitigation measures, where appropriate”<\/em>.\n\nThis Regulation will come into effect on May 19, 2022.\n\n \n\n<\/div>\n
