People may end self-isolation on day seven if they have taken two negative tests 24 hours apart.\n\nClose contacts &#8211; fully vaccinated adults and those below 18 years and six months are not required to isolate but must take a lateral flow test every day for seven days and are advised to have a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.red-on-line-ehs.co.uk\/ehs\/2021\/11\/15\/covid-19-precautions-to-take-in-the-workplace\/\"> PCR<\/a> test as soon as possible.\n\nNot fully vaccinated contacts must self-isolate for 10 days.\n\n&nbsp;\n<h2><strong>Scotland:<\/strong><\/h2>\nBusinesses are urged to allow staff to work from home wherever possible.\n\nFace coverings is mandatory on public transport and in indoor public settings and hospitality, with exceptions including for those eating, drinking or exercising, or when seated at a table.\n\nNo social distancing rules in place.\n\nPeople who have tested positive for coronavirus must isolate for 10 days.\n\nClose contacts &#8211; fully vaccinated adults must isolate and get a PCR test as soon as possible. They can end their isolation if the test is negative and they remain asymptomatic. Those living&nbsp;with someone who is infected&nbsp;must isolate for 10 days regardless of vaccination status. Not fully vaccinated adults must isolate for 10 days.\n\n&nbsp;\n<h2><strong>Wales:<\/strong><\/h2>\nWork from home wherever possible.\n\nFace coverings is mandatory on public transport and in indoor public settings with the exception of hospitality premises.\n\nGovernment guidance is that people should remain 2m apart from each other. By law, employers must take all reasonable measures to ensure a 2m distance.\n\nPeople who have tested positive for coronavirus must isolate for 10 days.\n\nClose contacts &#8211; fully vaccinated adults are not required to isolate but must take a lateral flow test every day for seven days, and isolate and arrange a PCR if it is a&nbsp;positive result. Not fully vaccinated contacts over 18 must self-isolate for 10 days and take a PCR test on days 2 and 8.\n\n&nbsp;\n<h2><strong>Northern Ireland:<\/strong><\/h2>\nWork from home wherever possible.\n\nFace coverings is mandatory on public transport and in indoor public settings and hospitality, with exceptions including in places of worship and for those eating, drinking or exercising, or when seated at a table.\n\nEmployees at work should continue to observe social distancing rules. People should remain 1m apart in retail and shopping centres, indoor hospitality settings, indoor visitor attractions and on public transport, where possible.\n\nPeople who have tested positive for coronavirus must isolate for 10 days.\n\nClose contacts &#8211; close contacts of people infected with the Omicron variant must isolate for 10 days, regardless of vaccination status. For other variants fully vaccinated adults do not need to isolate. Adults should take a test on day 2 and day 8 following contact. Adults must take a lateral flow test for 10 days after contact, even if the PCR test is negative.
