BLOGEuropean Commission Publishes Communication on Framework for Radio Equipment and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment and Their Conformity – Published on 24/01/2018 The European Commission has published Commission communication in the framework of the implementation of Directive 1999/5/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment and the mutual recognition of their conformity and Directive 2014/53/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of radio equipment and repealing Directive 1999/5/EC. The communication relates to the publication of titles and references of harmonised standards under Union harmonisation legislation, which includes the European standardisation organisation, reference and title of the standard, the first publication in the Official Journal of the European Union, reference of superseded standard, date of cessation of presumption of conformity of superseded standard and the standard aims to cover Article(s) of Directive 2014/53/EU. The organisations that relate to these frameworks are Cenelec and European Telecommunications Standards Institute.
