Repeals of the Outdated Stormwater Rules in Florida

Florida Department of Environmental Protection Proposes Repeals Outdated Stormwater Rules

On December 22, 2016 the Florida Department of Environmental Protection proposed removing multiple stormwater rules. The purpose of this removal is for the department to abide by Executive Order 11-211 requiring the removal of duplicative, unnecessarily burdensome, or no longer necessary regulations. These rules are being repealed because they are no longer necessary as the rules regarding stormwater discharges have been replaced by the Statewide Environmental Resources Permitting in Chapter 62-330, F.A.C. The rule specifically being repealed is FAC 62-25.

If requested within 21 days of the date of this notice, a hearing will be scheduled and announced in the Florida Administrative Register. The person to be contacted regarding the proposed rule is Heather Mason, 2600 Blairstone Rd., MS 3500, Tallahassee, FL 32399, Heather.Mason@dep.state.fl.us, (850)245-8480.
