EPA Adopts Public Notification Requirements for Combined Sewer Overflows to Great Lakes Basin

On January 8, 2018, the EPA adopted a rule establishing public notification requirements for combined sewer overflow (CSO) discharges to the Great Lakes Basin. The rule is intended to provide additional specificity beyond the existing requirements for public notifications to improve communication to the public regarding CSO discharges to the Great Lakes Basin., and it will impact existing NPDES permit holders that are authorized to discharge to the Great Lakes Basin.
