Open Packaging Regulation Consolidation Consultation [UK]

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has published an open consultation on Packaging regulations: consolidating the packaging waste regulations on its webpage.

The consultation is seeking views on the clarity of the new draft Packaging Waste Regulations 2016.

PackagingWasteRegulations

The consultation is requesting the views on its proposed Packaging Waste Regulations 2016 which aim to consolidate both the Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 2007 and the Packaging Waste Regulations 2007 and all subsequent amendments.

It should be made clear that the consultation is not the subject of voicing policy change, it is a forum for ensuring clarity of the consolidated regulations in view of its terms, structure and overall coherence.

For further information refer to the consultation page and documents.
