The UK government published a draft building safety bill to reform building and fire safety system

Fire safety
The UK government published the draft building safety bill on 20 July. This bill was decided to be much needed after the Grenfell Fire in 2017 with 72 fatalities. This bill will be an enhanced safety framework for high-rise residential buildings and will legislate to require that developers of new build homes must belong to a New Homes Ombudsman.
